About

Energy-efficient lighting, motion sensors, and HVAC systems conserve energy, while stormwater is naturally filtered through wetlands. The Lodge’s design also prioritizes local wildlife, with turtle-friendly lighting and bird-safe glass in the lobby. The Lodge recycles cooking oil, sorts waste for composting, and partners with eco-friendly brands for reusable water bottles and sustainable straws, with filling stations available throughout the property. Additionally, the Lodge supports sustainability through local sourcing, invasive species harvesting, and bycatch purchasing, while actively participating in food and beverage programs like the Zero Single Serve Initiative, Sustainable Seafood Organization, and Gulf Seafood Foundation.
