History Museum of Mobile
Over 117,000 objects weave together the rich, diverse, and often turbulent histories of Mobile and the surrounding area. The exhibits cover two large floors of the complex, chronicling 300 years of Mobile history from the prehistoric past to the present. The museum typically has a six-month-long featured exhibit and special collections exhibits that are rotated periodically. There are also permanent exhibits that explore Mobile’s history from colonization to the present, featuring furniture, antique silver, artwork, and other artifacts.
