Fairhope Museum of History

The museum features permanent exhibits of Fairhope’s unique history including Fairhope’s founders, the Single Tax theory, the town jail, the Jubilee phenomenon and many other interesting displays. The museum is located in the heart of downtown Fairhope and occupies the historic circa 1928 Spanish mission-style building which once served as City Hall. The museum courtyard features additional art and exhibits such as the People’s Railroad train car–a life-size replica train car sitting on 24 feet of railroad line.
